Gräsö

We take a last walk to the beach. With boots splashing in the sea the kids have a blast. Better enjoy it while it lasts, I think to myself – winter’s coming.

One last outing to the country house is needed before winter, before temperatures drop too low. It would’ve been good to wait a few more weeks, which would’ve allowed us more time away. But with corona virus cases rising by the day we’re a bit reluctant to put it off for too long, seeing the risk for new restrictions loom.

So we pack up for a short trip, jump in the car and head out of town.

We’re all a bit more weary than when we were here last. Maybe it’s the constant cautiousness, maybe it’s the sense of uncertainty in what winter will bring, maybe it’s just that we haven’t been sleeping well.

Still, being here is such a treat. Even if it’s a shorter stay than we’d prefer (maybe even need) it’s great to be in the woods and by the sea for a bit.

All too soon it’s time to pack up again and head back to town. With our spirits lifted a little, we head into the winter.

GEAR: Leica M Typ 262 and Voigtländer 50/1.2.
